An Executive Business Coaching course you attended to is not to be taken lightly.

Firstly, it is not cheap. Wether you paid it yourself or the company you work with pays it for you, chances are a large volume of money gets exchanged. Probably the better quality it is, the more expensive it is and there is essentially no limit.

On top of that, investment in time and energy has occurred. Hours, days, weeks, or may be even months. There is so much of resources spent on it, hence it makes perfect sense to make the best use of it soon rather than later.

It is of utmost importance to benefit from it with all efforts possible.

The most important factor is to participate, actively. When you do so, you stand the chance to test your idea with or versus the rest of the organisation, even the CEO. At worst, you will learn your mistake in your work goals, but more positively, you will get recognised. If not for your sheer ideas, it is for your courage.

Management is always looking out for people who leads. These are the people who are not shy to try and let people see it. They are not afraid to show people that they are learning and making mistakes along the way. To the eyes of the management, they are infinitely better than those who just wait and follow orders. This is a limited breed, so management do notice them.

The best is if you can offer yourself to lead any particular projects during the coaching exercise. It shows that you are ready to take on a challenge the moment it shows itself up. You stand out immediately from the rest.

Lastly treat the topics as seriously as you can get, and show it. The coaching exercise is held for specific reasons and at high cost. Perhaps the organisation goals are not clear. Perhaps the policies need correction. Or some major mechanisms need overhaul. If they are not major issues, there would not be any investment on it. If you do take it lightly, you stand to lose the opportunity to really grasp what is really important to the organisation and to find ways to resolve it.

Participate, lead and be serious. Miss it and you might as well just opt out from the coaching exercise and save company money doing that.
