With hi speed internet everywhere, people do not have time to wait on their slow computer. They want things done right away. So, here are a few things I did to speed up my pc.
Run a defragmenter
This software utility, that comes with Windows, will scan your hard drive and fill in th empty spots with files. What happens is your computer will start saving files in fragments, by filling the first openings on your hard drive. This means that when you start the file, you need to wait on the computer to put the program back together. A defragmenter will fix this.
Ensure you have enough memory
Before your computer does anything, it brings the files into the memory first. So, it makes sense that the larger memory you have the more programs you can bring in there at one time. And, with memory being so cheap, it is best to max the amount of memory you have in your computer.
Use registry repair tool
The registry is a place where things can go wrong in a hurry. This is the command center for your computer, and contains all of the instructions on how your software and hardware should operate. If you mess up anything in here, your computer will be extremely slow.
By using a registry repair software, you are able to scan your computer, normally for free, and see how many errors you have. Then, once you find all of the errors, the software will fix every one of these. Now, your computer should be running back at top speed.
When used in combination, these things above definitely gave me my answer how to speed up my pc.
