It's never been simpler to to create a website. Here's three reasons why you need to do it.

1. You have something you want to sell.

This is a pretty obvious reason. If you're trying to market something today, you'll have to get it onto the internet. Everyone else in your market is already on the internet, or soon will be. A site could be your main marketing vehicle, or just complimentary to whatever existing system you already have. There's almost no kind of business that can't benefit from a website.

The exact kind of site you require depends on what you sell, and how. It may be that you need a site with a catalog, so all your products can be listed and people know what's for sale. It could be that you need a site to list information, manuals, FAQs, or white papers.

Whichever type of site works best for your business, you can build it or hire someone to do it. Make it a priority!

2. There's something you want to say.

It could be there's something you want to prove. The internet has many voices. Yours could be one of them. Why not?

Regardless of whether your message is a formal declaration of your cause or just fun communications, there's room for your voice online.

3. People need to know your expertise.

Perhaps you are an employee and have nothing to sell directly, and don't have any particular cause that you want to trumpet (or decry). But your career is important to you and you want to hold onto your job, get a promotion, or obtain a better job now or in the future.

With a website, you can show off what you know. The content on your site can show people you're an expert in your field.

Never before has it been simpler or more gratifying to have your own website.
