Have you been thinking of getting pierced? You're probably a little intimidated and have some questions? I'll go over some of the questions I get asked most often about piercing and body art, to give you a better understanding of the whole process.

Have you been thinking of getting pierced you're probably a little intimidated and have some questions? I'll go over some of the questions I get asked most often about piercing and body art, to give you a better understanding of the whole process.

The first thing anyone ever asks's me is how much do body piercing's cost, this is a tough question to answer because of the many variables involved. For instance, where you live can affect the price you pay, as well where you want your piercing can be a big factor. Obviously getting your ears pierced is going to be cheaper than a lip piercing.

The second thing I always get asked is how much does it hurt? Well everybody is different and yeah it's gonna hurt, but the pain fades quickly in most cases with the exception of piercing in more delicate area's which can be a little sore for a few days. Some people are nervous about infection and if they will know what to look for. Their scared they wont know how to spot an infection before it get's to be a problem. They've heard all the stories about a piercing a friend gave a friend that became infected, or they thought was infected.

If your seriously considering body piercing places for getting pierced, there are some things you should keep in mind. Never try to do it yourself or let a friend use one of those body piercing kits, the risk of infection is to high. A professional piercer makes a living by doing body piercing and knows the power of word of mouth advertising and will not risk their reputation with poor sanitary conditions.

Next they want to know how to pick the right piercing studio? Of all the things you want to look for in a quality piercing boutique, and if you forget everything else I have tried to explain to you then you need to make sure they are professional, their station is spotlessly clean and their body piercing instruments are sterile.

Ask your friends questions about the different places they've gone to for their piercing's, and what they liked or didn't like about each place. Ask specific questions about the concerns you might have. Like, are they professional, is the place clean, can you trust them. Try to get a feel for what place you would like to check-out first, but visit more than just one.

If you need more choices in the designs you will be wearing you can try 18 k gold or even niobium is a safe bet. If your on a budget and need to stretch your dollars so you can buy more than one design you will find that implant grade stainless steel is far less expensive. The body piercing places you choose should have some jewelry to choose from to get you started. For more information about body piercing subscribe to our rss feed in the author resource box.
