Truth be told, there's not really any such thing as a good credit card. There are some credit card deals that will save you some money versus others, though. It's very easy to find credit cards convenient and even to find them indispensable. This is especially true if you get your new card and it doesn't have any balance on it just yet. Do you think, "Hooray, now I can do some shopping"? And do you put consumable purchases such as gas on it, too?
Point being, credit cards are very easy to use, maybe too easy to use. More often than not, this can mean you spend more than you should. Then when you get the bill, the balance is too high, so you simply make the minimum payment and nothing more.
