Are there specific exercises for Love Handles? Well yes and no. Love Handles are the term given to the accumulated fat over the oblique muscles, the muscles on our sides. This is one of the primary places our bodies store excess calories as fat. And any exercise that focuses on eliminating them could be referred to as Love Handles Exercises.
If anyone is serious about losing their Love Handles, their primary Objective must be to burn the accumulated fat through an increase in Activity. That activity does not have to be exercises that focus on the Obliques, although many folks would have you believe that you do.
You can start by eating higher quality foods and perhaps just a little bit less than usual. Maybe you could create a habit of eating just two or three bites less than you currently consume. These things add up over time. Most people who are unhappy with their current weight eat two or three bites more than they probably should at each meal.
I am not against any of the traditional exercises that focus on the oblique muscles, such as side bends, twists, etc., but I want people to understand that focusing their exercise routines on the obliques are not the best way to go about producing the results they are looking for, IF their goal is to reduce or eliminate their Love Handles.
If you want to produce results and have been working out for any length of time, you probably already know that one of the main keys to producing results is consistency. The regularity of workouts will keep your metabolism burning more calories and make the difference between accomplishing the results you want or just wasting your time.
How to lose body fat is not a complicated problem. When we eat more calories than our bodies burn, those calories are stored in our fat cells for later use. And those places around our middle have more than their fair share of them.
No matter how long it's been since you were in shape, or even if you've never been in shape in your life, you can succeed. As James Allen stated in his classic book "As a Man Thinketh", "The body is the servant of the mind. It obeys the orders of the mind whether they be deliberate or automatic."
Have you ever considered joining a gym in your area? Perhaps you could take an aerobics class or just create a habit of putting on your walking shoes and head out the front door. Any and all activity does burn calories, but make sure you get your heart rate up.
Try to increase your water consumption as well as the amount of fruits and vegetables that you eat each day. And try to spread them out throughout the day so that your body has a continuous flow of water and high quality nutrients to feed on.
A little control on your diet intake is a must. What you eat played a very important role in creating your Love Handles and will also play a role in losing them. Try not to eat too many carbohydrates, such as white pasta and white bread. Also try to increase your protein.
Love Handles do not disappear overnight. Don't get discouraged. Think of the other successes you've had in your life. I'm sure the ones you treasure the most are the ones that were the most difficult to accomplish. Focus on how good you will feel when you easily fit into that new dress or jeans or suit. By the way, you'll probably even look smarter and healthier too!
