Muscle building has only recently become a scientific endeavor, with newer technologies and sciences being wrought each day. Now that society can understand the process of muscle building, professional body builders can create the perfect routine by following logic and reasoning according to science. This will primarily require a few things: rest, nutrition, and an ample workout regimen.
Nutrition is one of the more important aspects of the three, since an improper nutrition will render any training session useless. A proper nutrition should be composed of plenty of proteins and carbohydrates- and plenty of water intake should be observed as well. To achieve proper protein values, one should include beans, red meat, chicken, nuts, and even fish into their daily eating routing. Doing so will maximize impact of working out, and get better results quicker.
Of course with just nutrition and rest, there isn't much of a chance for building muscle! Rigorous muscle building exercises should be performed after a large intake of protein. It is important to keep hydrated in this period, so muscle can be built rather than damaged. Many strength training exercises will include heavy lifting, although a trainer will know the best exercises for such a task.
Sleep may not seem as important as the previous two factors, but it can indeed be more important than either. Only through proper rest can one hope to give one's muscles a chance to relax and grow in the "down time." It is generally considered average for a body builder to obtain around 8 hours worth of sleep, with many body builders even taking naps after training sessions and throughout the day.
There is always time for a good hardy training session, but it should be noted that it is very possible to train too much. Training too much will put unnecessary strain on the muscles being targeted, and this can lead to muscle degradation. This will backtrack results rather than make improvements, and thus, proper rest and relaxation should be observed. If one seems to be waking up with an exhausted feeling each day, it would be a great idea to take a day or two to rest from training.
Finally, it is worth discussing the fact that steroids and other "miracle drugs" are never worth the money many pay for them. Not only can they get athletes banned from doing what they love doing most, but they can have very serious health complications associated with them. Even in controlled experiments, steroids can be unpredictable at times. Thus, experimenting with steroids is a poor idea when trying to find an easy way to body building.
Final Thoughts
Body building can be a fun sport to engage in, but there is a lot more science involved than what the average consumer would think. In fact, there is a lot of work in nutritional science and muscle composition science that must be reviewed by each body builder in order to achieve maximum results. Staying current on the latest technologies and advances in science can give some an "edge" over the competition- so a subscription to a body building magazine is always nice to have around.
