If you are one of the unlucky people who have headaches a lot then you know how hard it is to get rid of them. Pain in your head comes in various forms and for different causes. When you can locate just exactly why you get them then you are on the road to finding a headache cure just for you.

Migraine pain tends to the worst type of headache. They are often accompanied by upset stomach and sensitivity to light and sound. Migraines can last for days on end, and a lot of common headache cures won't help. They may take the edge off the pain, but the migraine is still there.

Try some of the over the counter medications. Some people respond well to Tylenol. Don't be surprised if you do not. You should always talk with your doctor if pain persists. You may need a heavy duty pain solution that only a doctor can prescribe.

If you do have a migraine you have to find the reason for the headache. Tension is a problem for me since I do a lot of computer work. Often a massage can help me with the neck and shoulder pain as well as the aching head. But I cannot stress it more - find out why you get the headaches. You might need glasses and that is why your head hurts.

The best way to stop headache pain is to prevent it occurring in the first place. Wear you glasses if prescribed by a doctor and don't drink or smoke. Prolonged periods of computer use can be a cause too. Take a rest every ten minutes when at the computer.

For headaches of unknown origin, pain relievers often help. You can help eliminate sources of stress and bad habits like smoking or drinking. Natural headache cures often work better if you know the root of the problem. Rest is often a good solution, along with cutting back on caffeine and sugar. Simple headache cures often will not help raging and reoccurring headaches that don't have an obvious cause.

Seek a doctors help or a dentist. Headache pain can come from poor dental health. Very bad headaches are not necessarily migraines but they can indicate a deeper more serious medical problem.

Finding a headache remedy for you will take you and your doctor's time effort to find the cause or causes. Maybe a lifestyle change is in order. That could be all you need to regain health. Either way - do not let it continue to keep you from living the fullest life that you can pain free.
