Do you just create eBooks as a form of revenue? Why not use it for more than that? By throwing a little creativity into the mix you can use your eBooks in a variety of ways that will allow you to generate income on multiple levels.
One strategy of how you can do this is selling advertising space within the eBooks that you are developing.
Here is an example. An eBook on how to plan a wedding on a budget. When talking about weddings we are talking about a multi-billion dollar industry. Do you not think some companies would want to be able to advertise their products or services to customers who just bought a product that their business is build around?
It sounds like a dumb question, but I want all of you to ask, 'What other businesses would be interested in getting in front of the audience I will be attracting?' It's one of those creative questions that I urge all of you to constantly develop and ask yourself.
One more time. Thinking about my target audience, what businesses would be interested in having a way to get in front of them?
Thinking about it this will really get your creative juices flowing. All different businesses will come to mind, maybe even some of your competitors. You will also think of businesses that have complimentary products or services geared towards the particular audience that you are marketing to. These are the people that will be interested in purchasing advertising space in your eBook.
It is your decision how you want to layout where the ads would go. You could place them all at the end, beginning or have them scattered throughout the book. It doesn't matter how you do it, by selling advertising within your eBook it is providing you a method of generating more revenue
One way to use eBooks is to add value to you current customer base. An example of this is what I do to my email list. Now, I don't have a very big email list, but I have a great relationship with those who are on my email list.
Compiling an eBook for my list is one way that I can add value to my customers. It can range from answering some of their more desired questions, summarizing tools I use or giving a step by step procedure.
Finding win-win strategies to add value to you and vise-versa is something I can always looking for so that my relationship with you and my list only gets stronger.
If you know exactly what your target market is looking for, or needs help with, or they're seeking a certain solution for something, and then you provide an eBook that outlines the step by step procedures to solve their particular issues, that is of great value. You're adding to the relationship by creating and compiling an eBook and giving it to your current customers. I want you to constantly think about that.
Hidden opportunities to make profit can be find if you just go into business with that mindset of providing your customers value and combine it with a little creativity.
May ideas come to you when you need them most.
