You are on top of your poker game. You have all the skills and savvy you need to out smart your fellow gamers. However you are lacking one thing; you really are a tad bit too serious and you do not look cool in front of the rest of the poker players.

I am sure you have seen the regulars on Wednesday night TV. They play effortlessly with their poker chips. The butterfly, roll and shuffle are done with nonchalance and they give the impression of being hip players.

One of the fun things about poker is showing off. Big egos are part of the turf, and what better way to look cool than to do a few tricks with your poker chips? Here are some fun and easy ones to try.

The Pullover

This is similar to the shuffle. Gather 6-8 poker chips, in a stack and put your hand over the chips. Your thumb and pointer finger will be on one side and the other fingers on the other side. Split the stack and place one half aside. Take the remaining and with one fast move put it on top of the you left aside. This will just need a little practice until you can do it quickly and easily. How's that for a cool trick?

The Finger Flip

This one's useful for suck outs. First extend your arm, then extend your middle finger... just kidding. The finger flip is a relatively easy trick where you flip one poker chip over a small stack of poker chips that you're holding. It's easiest if you start with three chips.

Hold the stack of three chips in one hand with your thumb and pointer finger above the middle point of the poker chip and your other three fingers on the side of the stack. Now use the other three finger to move the back two chips down rolling them against the thumb to keep them from falling. When the chips are down far enough, flip the front chip to the back using your index finger. Practice until you can do this without thought and you'll look like a pro!

The nice thing about the above mentioned poker chip tricks are that they are easy and you can keep on repeating them. So go ahead have fun with your poker chips and enjoy being a cool poker player.
