The Scotty Cameron Studio Select putters have been announced by Titleist as been the latest addition the Newport range.

If you know anything about the great game then you will know that Scotty Cameron are in the top 5 manufacturers of premium range putters. In my opinion this is a reputation that has been built upon by Titleist releasing this product.

This "baby of the family" Newport-style putters has some bold red tour graphics, hand heel and toe circular sole weights and a high toe profile.

So here are the specifics when it comes down to what this putter is all about. Made out of precision grade 303 milled stainless steel it comes with the standard 71 degree lie that can be adjusted by plus or minus 2 degrees. As far as the grips are concerned it comes with 6 different options.

The circular heel and toe weights provide increased stability by reducing head rotation on off center impacts for a larger sweet spot.

This putter will be avialable from March 2008 and the mrp is around the $325 mark.

Some people will take the view that shying away from buying a Scotty because of the price doesn't make sense, others will say that the few that are willing to pay the price are the ones who make Scotty a rich man for producing products no different then many other putter makers.

However the proof as the say will be in whether this will improve your game or not, the only way you will know is by trying it out in your local store before you buy it.

Finally there is a 12 month warranty that comes as standard with this Scotty Cameron Studio Select putter.
