Take a Hike: Amazing Scenery and Greenery

Our world is home to many wonderful places, including some of the best places to hike. You can see many of them by other means, including by donkey, by train, or by helicopter. For those who enjoy a quiet walk, or real physical challenges, get up close and personal with nature by taking a hike. Hiking can open your mind to worlds of adventure you never knew existed! So give me your attention as I address some of the best places to hike in the world!

Located in the Appalachians, Appalachian Trail is the ultimate hiking trail. A sprawling 2,175 miles of adventure await you. You may choose to do a thru-hike, where you complete the entire journey over fourteen states, or you can take a short day trip. Plenty of different scenic routes are here in abundance. There are many reasons to hike here, including to get in shape, study of the natural world, or simply for the rustic beauty. Water ways abound, from the four falls of the Penobscot River to the rapids of the Potomac in Virginia. Waterfalls, cliffs, and gorges surround the trails!

From the Eastern coast of the United States, let's hop over to the opposite coast, where a 2,650 mile trail, called the Pacific Crest Trail awaits. It stretches from Canada to Mexico through three states, California, Oregon, and Washington. On this side of the country it is one of the best places to hike! If variety is what you are looking for in your hike, look no further. On this trail, you can experience vast landscapes including glaciers, forests, mountains, meadows, and rivers. Desert views are another favorite option on the PCT! Keep in mind, if you plan on hiking the trail in its entirety, you should be prepared and skilled. Many of the areas on this track are tough even for the physically fit. More people have climbed Mount Everest than complete this trek!

Visitors who are not up for exertion may want to try Florida Trail. This 1,400 mile patch of land consists of some tropical, untouched beauty. It lies on mainly flat land, which accommodates the less physical hikers. Known for varied habitats, this track will keep you busy with spectacular flora and fauna.

Across the sea, they have some of the best places to hike. In England, you should visit Hastings Country Park; it has 660 acres of unspoiled terrain. Ancient woodlands and heaths accompany cliffs full of rare prehistoric fossils and other artifacts. You don?t want to miss this locale, if history interests you!

If greenness gets you going, then do not miss Connemara in Ireland. The Emerald Isle comes alive before your eyes as you hike through bogs, wetlands, and heathery moors. Rugged terrain accompanies these striking vistas, so exercising hikers should be pleased just as well as nature seekers.

Go outback for some bushwalking to experience Australia?s best places to hike. One great place to start is Morton National Park. Here flowers, rivers, and lagoons take center stage. This is a great hiking experience that you can use as an opportunity for great photos to show friends and family!

Whether you are hiking to get in shape, or just to experience Mother Nature, these locales are some of the best places in the world to hike. They will not disappoint the seasoned hiker or the newbie.
