Cougar dating is the when a mature, sophisticated women prefers to date and be in the company of a younger man. Normally cougars are women in their 40's,50's and 60's, but the trend is becoming so hot that 30 something cougars are on the rise.

More and more we see women in their 40's, 50's and 60's looking better than ever, and need I dare say, hotter than many of their younger counterparts. These women have the confidence and the experience to now know to make better relationship decisions then they did their first time around in their 20's.

Back in the day's when society suggested that women should only be heard but not seen, had many baby boomer women "stunting" their growth romatically and mentally as a person. Usually once they've "figured" out what they want, they were labeled as being too old.

Women during this time years ago, was looked upon to take care the children, cleaning the house and satisfying their husbands. As a result, this may have lead to women feeling less of a person because there might have been a feeling of unfulfilment or a feeling of being less than a person.

Nowadays, those old traditions are being broken everyday. Women are breaking trends and setting new one's. Cougar dating is one of the trends that is being hailed by women as revolutionary because it was always thought that women could not date younger men!

These confident, cougar-minded women learned by experiences from their past relationships. They are able to feel more empowered in relationships because of what they had to do to survive. This naturally has made these women more self-dependant than ever before. This is actually one of the attributes that younger men like...experience. Experience means less "clingy" which all men tend to not like.

As a result, the society we live today is much more tolerant of the aspects of women dating younger men. As cougars are demonstrating, you don't have to be a man to date a younger person. Cougar women are enjoying the benefits of being more in control, while feeling less intimidated of what men or society says they should be.
