You've seen it in movie after movie...a heartbroken girl slumped on her couch in a bathrobe, pouring tears into her ice cream and wailing the words "Why did he leave me??!" Ok, so it usually doesn't go that far in real life, but breakups can be really hard to get through, especially when you don't understand what went wrong. Lucky for you ladies, I'm here to give you a man's point on view on what could have been the killer of your relationship.
Now, there are lots of things that may make your man want to leave you...the variety of reasons is pretty expansive, but I've found that in most of the cases I've seen, the men usually leave for one of three reasons, which I'm about to list off for you so that you can see perhaps what went wrong in your particular case.
1) Ladies, some of you may have the idea that you're completely justified to want to know at all times where your man is and what he's doing, but let me tell you that if there's no trust, there's no hope...and nagging the everloving daylights out of the poor guy is only going to make him run for the door. Nonstop calls, demanding where he's been when he comes home...it's funny in the movies, but nothing can make a guy yearn for freedom away from you like a bossy girlfriend.
This usually doesn't get to such an extreme, but if you catch yourself nagging him like this, you need to stop a sec and think about it. This kinda thing can happen without you realizing it, and before you know it he's gone to find somebody who won't make him pull his hair out.
2) The sad fact of the matter is that a LOT of relationships are absolutely destroyed by "another person." It can show up in a variety of ways, from another girl coming into his life who seems to be absolutely perfect for him, to one or the other of you two deciding that it's just not worth it to keep your pants on and be faithful to one another. Generally him cheating on you doesn't make him leave you, but I guarantee that if you do it to him he's going to dump you flat on your rear.
So it shouldn't be surprising that the best way to avoid a relationship going in the toilet like this is to NOT CHEAT ON HIM. Yeah, no duh, right? It seems like a no-brainer, but the former singular role of guys to be the ones doing the cheating has really bled over into the fairer sex. So just don't do it. To keep him from wanting to wander and stray to other women, about all you can do is provide him with what he needs at home, so that he doesn't go elsewhere to get it. Remember though, that there are some dirtbag guys who just can't seem to be satisfied with one person, and there's nothing you can do about that.
3) Another thing that really shouldn't ever cause a relationship to die, but consistently does is when a couple lets things get stale and dull. Lack of spontanaeity and "spice" can make things really kind of peter out, and that's really something that should never happen between two people who love each other.
Best way to keep him interested and with you is to try to keep stuff interesting and spontaneous. Spend whatever time together the two of you can, and if there isn't any time...MAKE time. It's really important that the two of you manage to keep together, because there's really no reason why two people that love each other should get bored and call it quits.
And those are the top 3 reasons guys generally leave...I'm not saying no guy has ever left because of something not on this list, but the majority of the male-initiated breakups are related to one of these three things. So now that you know some of the stuff to look out for, you can start fixing your life!
