If you looked at a wedding photo album today, you wouldn't see much difference (other than they would have been black and white images) for an album from half a century ago. Etiquette tells us to place the bride alone on the first page of the photo album; another link to the past when her mother probably had the same honor. Continuing in this vein, the following photos will be more of the bride and groom in all their finery somewhere in the grounds where they were married.
It would be unfair and impolite not to show off the whole wedding party in the wedding photo album next especially when they have gone too so much trouble to look their best for the day. Many close friends and family go to make up this special group without whom the day would be incomplete like the best man, the father of the bride and bridesmaids for instance. The bride has a picture with her attendants just as her mother did so many years before.
After these shots are taken it will be the turn of the bride and her family, then the groom posing with his family. Mention must be made to modern wedding photo albums which are as equally decorated as those of the past with elaborate covers and beautifully laid presentation pages inside. Most wedding photo albums are presented in white to symbolize the purity of the service with traditional symbols of weddings on the cover.
The wedding photos will be presented in a form that guarantees attention in an album that will probably be trimmed in silver. However, almost all wedding photographers have 'gone digital' so they can supply traditional photos on paper in addition to those that can be stored on a compact disc or a digital versatile disc (DVD). With digital media so inexpensive these days you can almo st guarantee that the whole album will be available on a disc which can contain every image at a fraction of the cost.
Images stored on a disc are easily reproduced so every single guest can benefit from a full set of pictures in a digital wedding photo album. There are a number of benefits to this because not only can the images be viewed as normal but also printed out in the traditional manner at home or at a regular photo printing store. Unlike many new technologies, this one has a definite advantage over the old as the images can even be printed at home and viewed on a home computer.
