The Sad Truth About Fad Diets
It's no more a genuine market of fad diets which give you hopeful advice of losing weight. You look around and everyone is hovering to sell their products and grab money. It hardly matters to them what weight is lost after having their medicines and following their diet regime. The fad diets are not always good. One need to choose them wisely. Some can be injurious to your health and can cause serious damage.
Doctors have been airing their opposing views to these fad diets because of their negative impact on a person health. Though diets like Atkins diet and cabbage soups can reduce a person weight drastically, health wise it might not be advisable. Routine like skipping meals can have negative implications when it causes you to eat more per meal than having a balanced diet three meals per day. Also exercises are important. An obese person who exercises can in fact be healthier than a skinny person who doesn't.
Carbohydrates do not lead to the increase of weight; in fact, they are generating oil of your body. Fad diets suggest you to stop taking carbohydrates in your meals but that is a myth as they need to promote their high protein diets. Measure your BMI to know if you are actually overweight or just feeling so. Being obese increases the risk of cardiac arrest, high BP, diabetes and heart diseases. This is surely not age-restricted. Losing some kilograms will help reducing the risk.
With a proper diet plan, any food can be taken. It is all about planning the proper dosage of calories and having a balanced meal intake. Fad diets which eliminate certain categories of food from the diet are risky. This is because our bodies are not made to deal with the absence of essential fats for a prolong period of time. So it is important to eat a balanced meal, if necessary than break the main meal into several smaller meals.
The proper way to lose weight is always about exercises and proper calories intake planning. It is not about substituting one kind of food for another. Don't let the diet dictate the kind of food you eat but rather you decide. Eat what you like only just be aware of your calories intake and the way your body function. For example a spicy acidic takes longer to digest. In short, there no shortcut to weight loss. The answer to losing weight doesn't lies with fad diet.
